VFW Post 1481 Women's Auxiliary 3rd Annual 5K for Cancer Aid and Research
April 14th, 2012
1125 S 1200 W
Welcome to our race! Why do we conduct this race every year? Because so many of us have fought cancer or have loved ones who have fought cancer. One of the hardest-hit segments of the population is our veterans. Due to exposure to chemicals while fighting for our freedom, many of them have battled and are still battling cancer. We want to honor them by raising funds toward cancer aid and research.
As part of our race, we like to honor those who have had cancer. We provide blank t-shirts in a rainbow of colors to all race participants. Please arrive early so that you may write the name of those you love that you may be running on behalf of, or your own name if you have battled cancer yourself. This allows us to put real names on this disease, and also helps us contribute more money toward research by saving money on t-shirts.
In addition, we have amazing sponsors. There will be a prize drawing for all race participants ( must be present to win).
Registration is $15. To register, go to http://www.active.com/running/ogden-ut/vfw-post-3rd-annual-run-for-cancer-aid-and-research-2012. We are looking forward to a great race!
